Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the title of Outstanding Chair in Psychology of the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is associated with the start of research in modern science on children's memory and eyewitness testimony, as well as the role of children as victims in the court system. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won numerous awards and grants. She has worked with numerous authorities and organizations across the world regarding policy guidelines and studies on children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional associations such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions that include Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families the Practice and Policy.
