She was the youngest and first female to win a British House of Commons Shield she's had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian of Indian descent to perform live and to be a presenter for the ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is one of India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Born in London She spent her beginning of her career traveling between London as well as New Delhi. Her debut performance was at New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. At the age of 13, she finished her high school studies in Encinitas CA. While she's still young Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording record. Since a while, she regularly performs with her father. The singer made Anourag her first solo album in 1998.
