Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio, where she continued her passion for performing on theatre. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years before trying her hand at television as well as films. Anna received her breakthrough in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be guest stars on a few TV movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she appeared in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler appeared as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully in addition to Deadwood was a different film that she appeared in. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. in 2022 Gunn also participated in an audio-play podcast known as "Numbered Days". The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of his life.
